HLAA 10th Anniversary!

2024 marks our 10th Anniversary! We have been holding fairs in various locations in Helensburgh since June 7th 2014.

While the make up of the group has changed over the years, we still hold to the premise of providing local artists and crafters with an outlet to showcase their fabulous talent.

A few of the original crafters are still with us and we continue to welcome new members all the time.

We will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary/Birthday with a special craft fair on the 8th June at The Bridge, Helensburgh Parish Church, from 10 til 3. We will have our usual mix of fabulous crafters there ready to sell you their amazing goodies, just in time for Father’s Day or Thank you teacher gifts.

We will be having our pop up tearoom with delicious home baking plus a raffle, with gifts donated by the crafters themselves. All proceeds from the tearoom and raffle will be donated to Robin House, CHAS.

Plus, join us between 12:00 and 1:30 and you can help us celebrate with a slice of cake!

Our History

Helensburgh & Lomond Artisans Association was established in 2014 by four local crafters who felt there was a need for more affordable and regular events to market & sell locally crafted wares.

Below are pictures from our very first craft fair on 7th June 2014

It was felt important to curate events to help keep customers engaged by ensuring there was a mix of artists & crafters.

In addition to the events, a Facebook group was established to help members network, ask & give advice, as well as share other events of potential interest.

The group was also open to feedback from attendees, to help improve future events – something which many felt unable to do with other events. It also helped nuture the community spirit of the group.

It has always been important to keep costs low for our members as such we began & remain a not-for-profit organisation with fees taken predominantly to cover costs & to advertise the events.
