Helensburgh & Lomond Artisans Association was set up by a small group of local artisans who believe that

much can be gained from small craft and artisan businesses working together.

The HLAA is a non-profit making association which supports local charities by running pop up tearooms, with fabulous homebaking at some of the craft fairs.

Craft fairs
All our Craft Fairs are in Helensburgh Parish Church Hall.Since it was set up the HLAA has grown and now has a fabulous variety of jewellers, sewers, potters and artists, to name but a few.

The aims of the association are

  • to provide support and advice to fellow artisans,
  • to provide regular craft fairs for members to sell their work,
  • to offer additional avenues for members to advertise their work.

Terms and Conditions for 2020Terms and conditions 2020

We need to ensure a constant income to cover the charge for the rent of the halls, insurance and advertising. To allow us to continue with our programme of increased advertising the costs for 2020 will be:

Membership fee - £10.00

Cost per table - £10.00

Booking for each Fair is a month in advance with full payment when booking.

It is your responsibility to pay on time or you will lose your future bookings if payment has not been made in time.

The organisers’ decision as to what crafts are accepted to join is final.

The organisers will decide who receives any table allocations; likewise, they can cancel future bookings in certain circumstances.

You must have prior approval from us to expand the range of goods you sell as we limit the amount of particular crafts.

You cannot bring stands, posters/displays without permission.

Crafters require Public Liability Insurance for their own protection.

Trading Standards – crafters must be compliant with all trading standard regulations including any specific to their craft e.g. toys require CE marking.

Cancellations – no refunds will be given for any cancellation within two weeks of the event. Refunds for cancelled bookings where we are able to re-sell the table(s) will be on the following scale:

4 weeks - 75% refund of balance

3 weeks - 50% refund of balance

2 weeks or less - non refundable

All tables should be covered with a suitable cloth (to floor level at the front)

Tables must be setup by 10.15am

The fair is open to the public until 3.pm and an hour in which to clear the hall. Please note it is not fair on the public or other exhibitors if anyone packs up and leaves early. Anyone who packs up before we have closed at 3.pm will automatically lose their future bookings and monies returned.

Your stall and goods must be within your designated space. For safety reasons and to comply with fire regulations, no items or goods must encroach into walkways or be placed in front of or near fire doors. Neither must your stand or stall encroach into your neighbour’s stand area.

If you require an electrical outlet, please make sure you have an extension lead.

We hope that you will agree that we have tried to keep rules and regulations to a minimum. We want everyone to enjoy our craft fairs in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
