Contraflow was originated by the local churches in Helensburgh and the surrounding area, when a group of representatives got together in early 1997 to discuss what could be done for the youth of the town.

Contraflow is part of the Scripture Union Associate Worker Scheme and is a recognised Scottish Charity (No. SC027973)
