I use my own original photographs as the basis for unusual images of some of my favourite places in Scotland and beyond.

During a long career in journalism, I designed, wrote and edited newspapers and magazines. When desktop publishing came along, I started to explore the potential to improve images for publication. Then I became intrigued to see how I could transform some of my huge collection of personal photographs, taken over the years with everything from old 35mm film cameras to mobile phones. And so my ‘artography’ came into being.

The images are printed on Fine Art or photographic paper, mounted and signed. They are ‘Real Places – Reimagined’, a collection of images that puts a different slant on places you might know…or might want to know.
